Our Jungle Love Story

In September, 2017 Jordan went on a soul-searching trip, planning to travel throughout Central America. His second stop was Wildtracks, a manatee and primate conservation and rehabilitation center in a small village in Northern Belize. Alysha had been working at Wildtracks at that point for three years as the volunteer manager. It was NOT love at first sight for either of them, but over the next four months they became best friends and the rest is history. (Alysha says Jordan eventually convinced her to give him a chance - Jordan says all it took was a good haircut and Alysha looked at him with "googly eyes".)
In December 2020, they became homeowners. Almost exactly a year later, Jordan popped the question in Asbury Park, in the most thoughtful, romantic way. (If you haven't heard the full story, Alysha will be more than happy to recount it in excruciating detail!) One of the reasons the Watermark was chosen for their wedding venue is because you can see the exact place Jordan proposed on the beach from its balcony.
While this love story has already spanned 6 years and 4 countries, it's just beginning and we couldn't be more excited to celebrate our next chapter with all of you!

They lived together in Belize for two years in their picturesque 600-square-foot oceanfront casita - they'll always think of this as their first home together. In August 2019, they embarked on their next big adventure - driving back to New Brunswick, Canada with their two dogs and two cats.
